  • Wonderful location for both town and the area, a very short walk to train station and the local bus services across the District. The flat is excellently equipped, very clean and comfortable. You will not be disappointed if you book it!

  • Stayed for a 4 day break Monday to Friday 13th to 16th May 2024.
    Agree with all the previous positive comments. A central position,
    with just a 5 minute downhill walk into Buxton. £3 back up in a taxi.
    A well appointed and comfortable apartment, very quiet.
    Great stay, would recommend to anyone and I would return again.

  • Second visit and flat even better with the new bathroom. We liked everything - the comfy beds and seating, well equipped kitchen, Netflix and Alexa. Lots of new walks and recommend Hardwick Hall and wood fired takeaway pizza at the bottom of the road. An excellent week.

  • Decided to revisit Buxton after many years and went to the Pavilion Gardens & Conservatory, Palace Hotel for afternoon tea, had a nice meal in pub next to the Opera House and went over to Glossop.   • Brilliant return trip to Number One. Great apartment - lovely and quiet yet so close to town. Had tapas at La Capris - the kids loved it. some great walks from Edale, Mam Tor, Chee dale was lovely (and quiet) and also a great walk from Longnor up to Wetton Mill. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing week - great places to eat and walk around Buxton itself.

  • The best equipped apartment, great location and very stylishly decorated yet cozy. Perfect place to explore Buxton and beyond.

    I stayed here with my husband and two grow up children. We all enjoyed our stay having our own space, as well as open living/dining area together.

    We often stay at self-catering places and were disappointed by the lack of equipment especially in the kitchen. But here, we cooked Christmas dinner as well as baking cakes etc.

    Both our children didn’t have any problem having Uni online lessons while my husband and I using phones so WiFi here is great.

    Aldi and Waitrose on the door step, we walked there to grab food to cook. Thai restaurant just down the street is amazing. My friend from Thailand said one of the best in the country.

    I especially loved the en suit bathroom which was decorated beautifully. Fresh, clean and relaxing. I like the fact all the cleaning products were eco friendly products.

  • I knew Number One would be a good place but it exceeds expectations. The furnishings and equipment have been chosen with much care, the result is a very comfortable and stylish apartment. I particularly enjoyed the artwork and photographs displayed on the walls, an encouragement to enjoy this lovely part of the Peak District.

  • It was a very thoughtfull touch to make sure the heating was on for our arrival as it rained non-stop on our drive from London! What to say about the apartment? Everything is totally thought through and beautifully presented - from the bathroom to the kitchen. The scenery was breathtaking and the trip very memorable (despite the weather!)

  • We had a brilliant stay for a week at Number One in August 2020. The apartment is surprisingly spacious and has been furnished to a very high standard with many thoughtful touches. It's in a pleasant and quiet location and yet just a short walk (downhill) to the town centre with a great range of pubs and restaurants and there are of course some amazing walks within a short drive. This is a perfect base from which to explore the Peak District. Highly recommended to all. We hope to return again soon. Thanks very much, Dave and Charlotte.

  • This is one of, if not the best, rental accommodation we have ever rented, be it cottage, apartment or house. We always rent privately, here or abroad. Well decorated, well equipped and in a super quiet, yet central location. We were impressed with the cleanliness and compliance with the Covid requirements. We felt safe, important in these strange times. Maria may be a owner who is new to holiday rental lets, however attention to every detail makes this a first class holiday experience. We can't wait to return soon. Unless you normally holiday at the Ritz you will not regret booking this flat.
