Number One The Laurels Details

Having been sensitively redeveloped 10 years ago, Number One The Laurels has been transformed into a beautiful, airy ground floor apartment, enjoying modern facilities while retaining period features. A large open plan living space with well equipped kitchen and dining area means that nobody need to miss out on the conversation whilst preparing a bite to eat. 

With it’s own dedicated parking space right next to the entrance, and only 3 steps from the front door into the apartment, the Laurels offers easy access for the less able-bodied. There are hand rails by the front door, the bath and in both showers, and no internal steps. Having worked for many years previously as a physiotherapist, owner Maria has carefully equipped the apartment in a way to make it as easy for less mobile people to enjoy as possible. There is unrestricted on-street parking for any additional cars. The railway station is only a third of a mile away. 

The kitchen area is well equipped with gas hob, electric oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, Nespresso machine as well as a built in dishwasher. A washing machine with airer is in a separate area. 

The dining area has a table which easily seats four, but may seat six if you wish to have two extra visitors for a meal.

The living room area has comfortable seating, a 42 inch smart TV with a Netflix account, DAB radio and bluetooth speaker, Alexa and wireless phone charging station.

Bedroom One with en suite:  A kingsize bed, Alexa with clock, bedside touch lamps and blind with blackout lining. Wireless phone charging station. A spacious en-suite bathroom offers both a freestanding bath and a separate shower as well as WC and basin. Hand rails in both the shower and beside the bath.

Bedroom Two: Zip link twin beds can be set up either as twin beds or a superking sized bed. A clock radio, bedside touch lamps and heavyweight curtains with blackout linings give all the ingredients for a comfortable nights sleep.

Fibre Wifi included. Gas central heating throughout. Heating, bed linen and towels are included in the rental price.

A high chair is available on request. No pets or smoking allowed.

In order to respect the residents in the other apartments we ask for the noise to be kept downafter 10pm and before 8am.

There is a garden exclusively for the use of Number One. This has a seating area where you can enjoy a cup of tea after a busy day. There is a lockable bike store in the garden which has room to store 3 adult bikes.
